Valerie has worked in the film and theater world for over 20 years, including at the Danish Royal Theater and the Danish National Theater School. She directed the documentary “Cowboy & Angel” in 1998, and produced and directed “Sofie’s Heart” and “Ballerina”, an animated short film. This was the beginning of her creative development of children’s universes and animation.

As CEO and Producer of Zentropa Norway, she produced the WWII feature film “Into the White”.

In 2022 she started the company Zebra Animation Studios, and in her film production company Metropolitan Film, she will produce and co-direct the first film in the company slate, “Prima Ballerina”.
